In light of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’s new cast, here are drag artists of colour you should know about
When the news first broke that RuPaul’s Drag Race would be coming to the UK, I was shook. Finally, one of my favourite (kinda problematic) shows would now be on home turf. I’d already started imagining which hilarious Eastenders characters might pop up the Snatch Game, and I could practically hear the sarcastic dry insults when the library finally opened. But at the back of my mind, I couldn’t help but worry about which queens would be selected to represent UK drag on one of the largest platforms there is.
Little Mix Lip-Sync With Drag Queen Dopplegangers in New 'Bounce Back' Video
The group showed their queer fans some love once again when they released a new “Pride Version” music video for their song “Bounce Back.” The clip opens with drag queen Freida Slaves erasing the name “Little Mix” on a chalkboard and replacing it with “Dirty Trix,” the competing group of queens from London queer collective Sink the Pink.

It’s that time again honey! Miss Sink the Pink is back and it’s bigger than evah, and this year, we have six fierce new contenders for the crown.
On 31 March at Troxy, Crayola, Bimini Bon Boulash, Frieda Slaves, Barbs, Taylor Trash and Lick Von Dyke will battle it out to be the new face of Sink the Pink.
In anticipation, we spoke to all six sickening entertainters and asked them generic pageant stuff, with some Miss Congeniality-esque questions thrown in of course.

The video, directed by Jordan Rossi, is an all-out ballroom party, with attendees from all walks of life joining forces on the floor to celebrate their individuality. "It's a huge privilege to be given so much creative freedom," Rossi tells PAPER about the making of the video, which he says "champions diversity in such an honest way. "The final catwalk was an incredibly inclusive and positive environment," he continues. "Even the non-performers turned it out and had so much fun doing so."
